They will lead a Youth Innovation Project to spread messages of inclusion by engaging youth participants with and without intellectual disabilities through environmental conservation projects. Hero Amanda and Sebastián Andree believe that by designing team-directed tasks, participants will directly experience the power of inclusion while also helping to protect Venezuela’s natural resources. Hero Amanda and Sebastián Andree hope that partnering youth with and without intellectual disabilities to preserve the environment will grow a culture of inclusion that blossoms year-round.

Over six months, Hero Amanda and Sebastián Andree will lead a team to plan and implement their environmental conservation projects. These projects will engage participants in conversations about healthy lifestyles and identifying ways to promote inclusion in Venezuela. They will engage 15 Youth Leaders with and without disabilities during the planning phase and hope to recruit additional Special Olympics Youth Leaders during their community recycling and clean-up events. Hero Amanda and Sebastián Andree recognize the power of inclusion and want to empower the Unified Generation to unite in a shared mission to create a healthy and inclusive world.
