Matthew and Oliveia will create opportunities for individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to participate in summer sports camps and engage in activities that promote social inclusion. While creating a path to friendship and understanding, Matthew and Oliveia’s project will demonstrate, educate, motivate, and increase awareness to foster a culture of inclusion.

Over six months, Matthew and Oliveia will lead a team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders and volunteers to support the growth and expansion of Special Olympics Unified programs in Rhode Island. Matthew and Oliveia’s Avenger Inclusion Revolution Sports Camp will empower engage participants through a series of sports-focused activities. By promoting social inclusion through shared sports and social experiences, Matthew and Oliveia hope to recruit new Youth Leaders to join the Unified Generation as they ignite an inclusion revolution across Rhode Island.
