Through this project, Mija and Erikas will organize a public event at a local park to introduce Special Olympics to their city. Mija and Erikas are passionate about the benefits of Unified Sports and want to share the message of Special Olympics with others.

Mija and Erikas were inspired by an athlete in Sweden who they met at the 2020 Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Regional Youth Leadership Summit. Mija and Erikas hope to create two events open to the public where they will engage new Youth Leaders and train them on how Special Olympics can benefit their schools. Mija and Erikas plan to host informational events in person and online to engage as many people as possible. Through awareness and community engagement, Mija and Erikas are inspiring the Unified Generation to advocate for inclusion everywhere.
