Haejin (Jeany) is a Special Olympics Youth Leader from Seoul, Korea who will lead a Youth Innovation Project focused on Unified golf.
Jeany has played golf alongside athletes with intellectual disabilities since she was a young girl.

“Their passion towards golf inspired me and kept me playing golf today,” says Jeany.

Over the course of three months, Jeany will organize inclusive golf training sessions every Tuesday at her local golf academy for eight weeks alongside Coach Oh, the head coach of the Korean Golf Team for Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. Coach Oh will instruct the Unified golf sessions and as they progress, Jeany will host screen golf tournaments to bring Unified Pairs together in a competitive setting. Over thirty youth with and without intellectual disabilities will be involved in Jeany’s project, and two new Unified Schools will be created. Throughout all of these activities, Jeany will document her project with photos, videos and written articles with the goal of getting her articles published in golf magazines to increase awareness of Unified Sports and the Unified Generation.
