Bri and Andre will lead a Youth Innovation Project to spread inclusion through Unified Sports in their community by starting five Unified basketball teams and five Unified soccer teams in local schools. In addition to starting these Unified Sports teams, Bri and Andre will also organize a basketball tournament, a soccer tournament, and a leadership conference with representatives from each participating school. Finally, they will establish Unified Schools programming to middle schools in their district to introduce the next generation of Youth Leaders to the Unified Generation.

Over the course of the next year, Bri and Andre will expand Unified programming to 12 schools establishing seven new Unified Schools, one new Unified Champion School, and one new Unified Sports Club. Unified Sports are a powerful vehicle for inclusion, respect and friendship, and Bri and Andre’s project will give 300 students with and without intellectual disabilities the opportunity to be a part of a team. Through games, tournaments, and conferences, Bri and Andre are getting youth in their school district involved with Special Olympics and inspiring others to join the Unified Generation.
