Ksenia and Gleb will lead a Youth Innovation Project to hold a Unified swimming tournament, creating an opportunity for young people to be involved in Special Olympics, and attracting media attention to raise awareness of the Special Olympics movement. Unified athletes and partners from local schools will participate in the competition and return to their schools with new ideas to foster inclusion and respect.

Over the course of three months, Ksenia and Gleb will engage 80 participants with and without intellectual disabilities and train 20 new Youth Leaders. At the end of their project, Ksenia and Gleb will look for new donors and sponsors so they can hold more Unified events. By bring Special Olympics swimming to their area, Ksenia and Gleb are encouraging more youth to join the Unified Generation and raising awareness of Special Olympics across Russia.
