Unified Sports
Altankhishig is a Youth Leader from SO Mongolia. Altankhishig first heard about Youth Innovation Projects from SO Mongolia’s Facebook Page and became very interested in leading her own project.
As Altankhishig plays sports very often, she came up with the idea of forming a table tennis club in her area. Altankhishig believes that the club will reach more youth with and without intellectual disabilities in her city and take inclusion further.
Over the course of six months, Altankhishig will work closely with Special Olympics Mongolia to get adequate support to design the project, recruit and train volunteers with and without intellectual disabilities, implement the project, monitor, evaluate and adjust the project on a regular basis. Altankhishig will conclude the project by organizing a competition and present the outcomes in the final report. Through the project, Altankhishig hopes to contribute to the expansion of the Special Olympics movement in non-major cities and to inspire the Unified Generation to do the same.
