[Chur, Switzerland — 18 May 2026] The Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 continue to gain strong international momentum: The Coca-Cola Company has been confirmed as an Official Partner of the Games, further strengthening one of the most impactful partnerships in the history of inclusive sport. As a Founding Partner of Special Olympics International, Coca-Cola has supported and shaped the global Special Olympics movement from the very beginning. This long-standing commitment continues with its engagement in Switzerland 2029, reinforcing Coca-Cola’s role as a key global partner of the movement. As an Official Partner, The Coca-Cola Company joins the high-est sponsorship category, with extensive activation and communication rights, as well as industry exclusivity.

With The Coca-Cola Company as an Official Partner, the momentum behind the Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 continues to grow. Preparations are progressing steadily, with increasing international attention and a clear goal: delivering a sustainable and inclusive global event.

About Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029

Switzerland will host the global Special Olympics movement in 2029. From March 10–17, 2029, the Special Olympics World Winter Games will take place in Switzerland, bringing together around 3,700 delegation members, including 2,500 athletes and 700 coaches from more than 100 countries. The Special Olympics World Winter Games are set to become the largest sporting and humanitarian event globally in 2029. The Games represent far more than athletic competition. They stand as a powerful symbol for the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and promote a more inclusive society with equal access to sport, education, healthcare and all aspects of life. 
The Opening Ceremony will be held on March 10, 2029, at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich. Sporting competitions will take place in the canton of Graubünden: alpine skiing and snowboarding in Arosa; figure skating, short track speed skating and floorball in Chur; and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dance in Lenzerheide. The Games will also be complemented by the nationwide Host Town Program, which actively involves communities across Switzerland. During the event, around 13,000 people, including athletes, coaches, family members, international guests, volunteers and media are expected to be on the move across the host regions each day.
