Daniyal Alvi hails from Karachi, Pakistan. He received primary schooling from Karachi Grammar School and graduated from Institute of Business Administration, with a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). He assumed leadership positions at school and university: House Captain & Prefect—KGS Student Council, Vice President—IBA Student Council. He is an avid sportsman, playing Football, Cricket and Tennis at National and Regional levels.
Daniyal has had a long standing involvement with Special Olympics Pakistan. Having volunteered at the organization for around 9 years, in various capacities ranging from coaching to leading the Youth Activation and Unified Sports programs, he has immense knowledge and expertise. He then went on to serve as National Director at Special Olympics Pakistan from 2015-2019, overseeing the country-wide operations, sporting activities, programs and developing partnerships. Over the course of his involvement he has been a coach and Head of Delegation at multiple World Games.
