Kata Orban-Sebestyen

Tennis Unified Sports Delegate - Hungary

Kata is a pro tennis coach who has worked as a manager for the Hungarian Tennis Association for 20 years. She has been the sports advisor of the Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia since 2013 and also the tennis coordinator of SO Hungary for 10 years.

Organizing the SO European Tennis Day in Hungary for years is her passion and she was the head coach of the SO Hungary tennis team in Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi during the World Games. Kata was part of the organization team in the Unified Experience at the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Games and the 2018 World Tennis Invitational, in Santo Domingo. This year she initiated an online tennis Special Olympics Challenge in her region which will take place in April.

She is a PhD student at the University of Physical Education, Budapest, Hungary. She writes her thesis about the inclusion through sports in Special Olympics.
