Disciplinary Officials Join in 2018 Hong Kong Law Enforcement Torch Run

A Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics was successfully held at Sha Tin Sports Ground on 29 April 2018. Over 3,700 participants from local disciplinary departments, special schools, social groups, and the public ran for athletes with intellectual disabilities and raised over HK$2.2 million.

LETR for Special Olympics is organized by Special Olympics Hong Kong (SOHK) with the support from seven local disciplinary departments (Correctional Services Department, Customs and Excise Department, Fire Services Department, Government Flying Service, Hong Kong Police Force, Immigration Department and Independent Commission Against Corruption) and co-organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Hong Kong Sports Association for Persons with intellectual disability. This fundraising event originated in USA over 30 years ago and has spread rapidly throughout the world.
