After the passing of his twin brother and father, Special Olympics Pilipinas athlete Kim Edwards (Edward), and his mother Jacquelyn, faced immense grief. Their bond grew stronger as they leaned on each other, and Jacquelyn knew her son needed a new outlet and introduced him to sport through his school as a way to help him heal.
Through training and competition, Edward found structure, connection, and purpose. His healing from heartbreak and positive progress reflected not only his own determination, but the unwavering support of his family, who stood beside him every step of the way.
