Special Olympics Athletes Create Their Own Tacos in Coca-Cola’s Campaign

Minette Dani and Ricky Landgraff from the Special Olympics Sweden team are participating this autumn in Coca-Cola’s taco campaign. Coca-Cola has been a global partner of the Special Olympics organization for over 55 years, with Coca-Cola Sweden supporting the local Special Olympics program. The purpose of this collaboration is to increase awareness of Special Olympics and their work to showcase the unlimited potential of people with intellectual disabilities, ahead of the Invitational Games in Malmö next year.

In 2026, Special Olympics Invitational Games will be held in Malmö. It will be the largest sporting event for people with intellectual disabilities ever organized in Sweden. Snowshoe runner and handball player Minette Dani, and handball player, cross-country skier, and crossfit athlete Ricky Landgraff—who are featured in the taco campaign—are two of the Sweden team’s athletes who will compete.

“We are very happy to be able to showcase our collaboration with Special Olympics through the taco campaign. Having Minette and Ricky share their own tacos with the Swedish public is a wonderful way to introduce our followers to these two fantastic sports personalities,” says Hanna Thofelt Lindström, Communications and Sustainability Director at Coca-Cola Sweden.

“Special Olympics is about community and giving every individual the opportunity to show their strength. Coca-Cola highlighting our athletes in such a popular and inclusive context as the taco campaign means a lot. Tacos are an inclusive dish that can be adapted to everyone’s preferences, just as sports are open to all, regardless of background or circumstances. It’s a way to show that our athletes can inspire both on and off the field.”
Linnea Björndahl, National Director at Special Olympics Sweden.

Coca-Cola Sweden is a local partner to Special Olympics and supports the organization during the Pre Games in Malmö 2025 and the Special Olympics Invitational Games Sweden 2026. The partnership is part of Coca-Cola’s global commitment to social sustainability, which is based on three pillars: inclusion—giving more people the opportunity to participate in meaningful contexts, inspiration—creating hope for the future, and innovation—supporting social entrepreneurship.
