Special Olympics Croatia is delighted to announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with the Croatian Sports Journalists Association.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently in Zagreb by Zdenko Mlakar, President of Special Olympics Croatia and Jura Ozmec, President of the Croatian Sports Journalists Association, the Croatian arm of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

Speaking of the partnership, Jura Ozmec noted, "Special Olympics needs a passage to help it reach media, and publicly signing this agreement a signal that we, as an association, want to help build that passage."

Zdenko Mlakar, President of Special Olympics Croatia, added, "This partnership agreement is really important to us … We really need sports journalists and editors to work together to inform and sensitise the public about the achievements, needs and problems of people with intellectual disabilities."
