Special Olympics Europe Eurasia (SOEE) and Toyota Motor Europe (TME) have reinforced their commitment to building inclusive communities by officially renewing their ongoing collaboration through December 2027. TME will support the expansion of Unified Sports initiatives throughout Europe Eurasia, activating almost 20 markets across the region.

Sven Albrecht, President and Managing Director of Special Olympics Europe Eurasia, stated, “We are pleased to renew our partnership with Toyota Motor Europe (TME), furthering our joint commitment to promoting social inclusion throughout Europe and Eurasia. Over the next two years, 18 countries in our region will receive support in expanding their Unified Sports offer—sustaining more opportunities and improving the quality of the competitions.

At a time when inclusion is increasingly important, we continue working to build communities where individuals of all abilities have the opportunity to be recognised and appreciated. We extend our appreciation to TME for their continued support and for advocating the principles of unity represented by Special Olympics.”

Toyota first became a global partner in 2018, deepening its support for inclusivity through sport and mobility with an expanded regional partnership in 2020.

Beyond the formal partnership, TME employees have actively engaged with Special Olympics athletes on numerous occasions. More recently, their engagement in the World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, and the Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup in Katowice, Poland, in 2025 helped build lasting bonds and highlighted the impact of teamwork and mutual respect.

The newly extended partnership will strengthen Unified sports programmes and also advance the vision of inclusive communities where mobility and participation are within everyone’s reach.
