I have been competing in Special Olympics since childhood, participating in events such as the long jump, 100m and 200m sprints, the yard dash, 100m relay and mini javelin throw, earning medals across all three podium placements along the way.
Most recently, I graduated from William Peace University with a bachelor's degree in Simulation and Game Design, completing the program through the honors track. During my time there, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Japan, where I toured shrines, mountains and cultural landmarks. Having built a foundation in Japanese through high school, I was able to converse fluently with locals, a highlight of the entire experience.
I currently work at Cary Regional Library, a role I've held for four years since graduating high school. In that time, I've assisted over 200 customers with technical questions ranging from printer troubleshooting to catalog navigation and book recommendations, and I'm proud of the positive impact I've been able to make there.
With a background in game development and video editing, I am thrilled at the opportunity to join the Inclusion Revolution Radio podcast team and help bring Season 8 of Special Olympics to life!
