For the first time-ever, a Special Olympics European Triathlon Competition was held as part of the Challenge Family Triathlon Series in Samorin, Slovakia

One very special day in late 2019, a group of athletes from Special Olympics Israel had the experience of a lifetime. They escorted the players of Hapoel Haifa onto the pitch ahead of a national championship match!

Special Olympics Israel athletes are daring Israel’s most famous sports icons to Play Unified with them, and they’re calling on the public to help make it happen!

Unified football and judo followed by an official reception at the residence of the President were just some of the highlights of the recent launch of Special Olympics Israel.

It was a memorable day when the football club showed up to their match against FC Beitar Jerusalem wearing Special Olympics T-shirts.

Every 4 years, Israel hosts the Maccabia Games, which are called the “Jewish Olympics." Jews from about 80 countries come to compete.

Eight swimmers from Special Olympics Israel took part in an Open Water event in Achziv at the northern part of the country on May 6.
