Every year, the week before the Super Bowl features the one of the largest gatherings of media in the United States.

Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach, Andy Reid shared a message for all of the Special Olympics athletes ahead of the “Big Game.”

Latrice recently became the first African American to race at the Unified Snowboarding X Games competition.

The competition begins 1 February 2020.

On 23 January, 10 pairs of Special Olympics athletes and professional snowboarders returned for the sixth annual Unified Snowboarding Competition at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado. For the first time ever, six teams of two, including one Special Olympics athlete and one professional skier, competed in the first-ever Unified Skiing Competition at the X Games.

For the first year ever, a Unified Ski competition will be part of the line-up of the Special Olympics Unified races at the 2020 X Games.

Special Olympics athlete-coaches from SO Belgium (Tamara) and SO Germany (Andre) made their mark at the Unified Basketball Tournament held in Munich, Germany from 28 – 30 November.

This was a big year for Special Olympics. From high-level competitions and high-profile partnerships to the expansion of Unified Sports and Athlete Leadership, the power of inclusion was on full display.

Close to 140 delegates from 7 countries took part in the Special Olympics Southeast Asia Unified 5-a-side Football Tournament held in Singapore, on 7 and 8 December 2019.

Special Olympics Belgium athletes and refugees who are living in Belgium came together to demonstrate the power of inclusion at a recent Special Olympics Unified Football Competition in Brussels.
