Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup
Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup Poland 2025 logo

Poland played host to the first Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup, which took place in the city of Katowice from 5 – 8 October 2025. The competition comprised of eight women’s and eight men’s/mixed teams. Each team consisted of six athletes with intellectual disabilities and six Unified partners (competitors without intellectual disabilities). The teams played five matches in Katowice with the aim of winning the inaugural edition. Special Olympics UAE (Women's) and Special Olympics Slovakia (Men's/Mixed) were crowned the Unified Volleyball World Cup Champions.

[Katowice, Poland – 14 October 2025] The first-ever Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup took place 5 – 8 October in Katowice, Poland. Sixteen international teams competed, with Slovakia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) taking the men’s/mixed and women’s crowns, respectively.

Bronze Victory for Krystian Fąfara and Team Poland!

The arena in Katowice roared as Team Poland clinched bronze on home soil, defeating Iraq in the duel for third place at the Special Olympics Unified Volleyball World Cup Poland 2025.
