The Inspiration

Nicholas and Collins noticed a low presence of Special Olympics Kenya activities in Nandi County both in schools and in the community. Both Nicholas and Collins have found so much joy in Special Olympics sports, they want to provide these opportunities to more young people.

The Plan

Their plan is to organize recruitment drives in schools and in the community in Nandi County. They will introduce Unified sports through a Recreational Sports Day, and ultimately they will train the recruited athletes and partners in Unified leadership.

Project Goals

Nicholas and Collins aim to increase the presence of Special Olympics Kenya in all the sub-counties within Nandi County through their project. Additionally, they hope to engage new athletes and partners in Unified Sports, conduct Special Olympics training to new athletes and partners recruited, and create awareness about persons living with intellectual disabilities in Nandi County.
