They will host a series of virtual meetings at different schools where they will share information about Special Olympics, persons with intellectual disabilities, and ways individuals can get involved with the movement. Through their project, Miguel Uriel and Yaritza Elizabeth believe they will be able to create more inclusive mindsets on school campuses across Mexico.

Over six months, Miguel Uriel and Yaritza Elizabeth will host weekly conversations with students where they will share their personal stories and experiences with Special Olympics Unified programming. During these discussions, they will also share the history of Special Olympics and how the organization has evolved over the past 50 years. Following the conversations, participants will be invited to participate in in-person Unified activities where individuals with and without intellectual disabilities will engage in events like Zumba, karaoke, and other activities. At the conclusion of the project, they will host an inclusion forum where participants will share their reflections with the public and identify ways they can continue to advocate as leaders of the Unified Generation. By leading their project in schools across Mexico, Miguel Uriel and Yaritza Elizabeth are confident they will create new communities of inclusion and acceptance.
