They were inspired by Special Olympics Montenegro’s 2020 Spread the Word campaign to reunite youth through another campaign. The initial campaign gained national success with over 200 pledges, but after two tiring waves of Covid-19, Marko and Saša want to reinspire youth at schools in Montenegro so that awareness for and implementation of inclusion remain top of mind.

Over six months, Marko and Saša will connect with Unified Schools and Youth Leaders and host meetings in schools about their Spread the Word (STW) campaign. On March 2nd, they will launch the campaign in 3 schools with the hopes of achieving whole-school engagement and getting over 300 people to sign their online pledge for inclusion. Marko and Saša will even publish a promotional video about the campaign that can be published on national and international outlets including Special Olympics International, Europe Eurasia and STW global, taking its reach even further. Marko and Saša decided to lead this project and join the Unified Generation because they believe it is everyone’s responsibility to make the world an inclusive place. Their dedication will surely inspire others to have the same attitude that, “every small step I have made to empower inclusion in my country is [a] big victory for me.”
