Together, Satya and Salihin plan to lead a Youth Innovation Project that aims to correct negative public perceptions about individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID). Motivated by the lack of education on the topic in their area, Satya and Salihin intend to educate their peers by conducting focus groups between students from special schools and mainstream schools. This way, Satya and Salihin hope to correct any assumptions one group may have about another. Additionally, the Youth Leaders will organize an awareness campaign with information about intellectual disabilities that will lead into a ‘Unified Skills Challenge Day’ which will ultimately help to build a Unified Generation in Singapore.

Over the course of 12 months, Satya and Salihin will engage 160 students with and without intellectual disabilities. The awareness campaign and the focus groups will lead the same students into the ‘Unified Skills Challenge Day’ where the importance of Unified Sports will be shared. Many skills and talents will be showcased as the students from different schools will unite to play, communicate, and learn unified. Satya and Salihin wish to spread this culture of inclusion beyond just the students directly engaged; instead, the goal is to spread it to as many individuals as possible through the social media campaign that will take place. Satya and Salihin will utilize this project to promote education and equality across the world.
