Eltheo and Charl’s project will connect and train Youth Leaders from Special Olympics South Africa programs to open discussions and host workshops to share ideas on how to expand and improve programs and generate new Youth Leaders. Eltheo and Charl believe their project will provide Youth Leaders with additional ideas and tools to help them inspire and empower others to join the Unified Generation to spread the word inclusion across South Africa.

Over nine months, Eltheo and Charl will lead a team of Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities to plan, promote, and host Special Olympics South Africa Unified Leadership training programs. These programs will connect Youth Leaders from the Western Cape to train, collaborate, and share ideas to strengthen and expand Special Olympics programming and the Athlete Input Council in their communities. Workshops and breakout sessions during workshops will demonstrate, educate, motivate, and inspire participants to expand their roles as Youth Leaders in the South African inclusion infusion. Eltheo and Charl believe their project will provide Youth Leaders with additional tools and ideas to share with their local organizations and help recruit new Youth Leaders to join them as part of the Unified Generation to foster a culture of inclusion across South Africa.
