[Santiago, Chile - 26 January 2026] Special Olympics World Games Santiago 2027 revealed the event logo, a powerful, multifaceted symbol reflecting the dynamism of the global movement and the Chilean spirit. The logo was officially unveiled at a ceremony at Parque Estadio Nacional, the first major public milestone on the road to the first-ever World Games in South America and the Southern hemisphere.
“As athletes of Special Olympics Chile, we are proud to show our logo to the world. The colors and imagery represent the energy of our country and the strength of our movement.”
“The logo is Santiago 2027’s introduction to the world and conveys our excitement, diversity, and connections,” stated Carolina Picasso, President of the Local Organizing Committee of the Santiago 2027 World Games. “Congratulations to the athletes of Special Olympics Chile for creating a logo that reflects their voices, experiences, and aspirations.”

“Chile’s commitment to the inclusion of persons with disabilities is deeply rooted in the hearts of its citizens, and the Santiago 2027 logo reflects the strength, richness, and diversity that visitors can expect at the World Games,” said Jaime Pizarro Herrera, Chile’s Minister of Sport. “The logo establishes Santiago 2027 as a major global sporting event, aligned with the visual, narrative, and communication standards of world-class sporting competitions.”
The logo visually expresses how Chile embraces the global spirit of Special Olympics. The shapes and colors are arranged in a circle to reflect constant connection. At the center is the international symbol of Special Olympics surrounded by icons reflecting Chile’s identity, nature, and diversity. The relationship between the elements carries rich symbolism: a world revolving around inclusion with Chile embracing all participants and offering a space where everyone can participate, connect, and celebrate with no barriers.
“The Santiago 2027 logo embodies an historic moment for our movement in Latin America and across the world, highlighting the first time our Special Olympics World Games will take place in this remarkable country and vibrant region. More than just a visual identity, it reflects the energy of Chile, the diversity of our global community, and the spirit that drives our athletes to challenge perceptions and encourage positive social change.”
At the center of the logo unveiling event were Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners. Unified Sports® combine people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team to compete together. The unified approach to designing and presenting the logo is an example of how the entire World Games will be planned and implemented.
The logo was revealed at an event at Parque Estadio Nacional, the symbolic sporting heart of Chile and the 2027 World Games. Approximately 200 guests were in attendance, including public authorities, civil society leaders, representatives of the Chilean Olympic and Paralympic Committees, Special Olympics Chile athletes, and national and international media.
The launch featured an 80-second video, produced in Spanish with English subtitles, which explained the creative and symbolic construction of the logo, highlighted athlete participation, and positioned Santiago 2027 as a global sporting event grounded in justice and joy.
Following the presentation, guests were invited to participate in Unified Table Tennis, 3x3 Basketball, and Bocce, where they could directly experience the fun and effectiveness of inclusion through sport.
The event establishes Special Olympics World Games Santiago 2027 as capable of aligning diverse stakeholders. The public logo unveiling marks the beginning of sustained communications for Santiago 2027 and reinforces sport as a powerful driver of respect for people with intellectual disabilities.
