Pauli lives in East-Helsinki, Finland with his wife and daughter. In 2007, he started coaching Special Olympics athletes in football (soccer). With Special Olympics Helsinki, Pauli coached club teams and later conducted and participated in multiple training camps for athletes from all over Finland.
Pauli has participated in two World Summers Games as a coach and one Summer Games as a Unified Delegate for Sailing. He was also part of the Divisioning Committee for the World Summer Games Athens, for women's football 7v7. Additionally, he is a member of the UNEX group.
In his free time, Paul like to participate in team sports and endurance sports, plucking and cooking mushrooms, and reviewing music and history documents and literature.
