Róża called “Typhoon” is a woman whose life has been determined by sport. She is a former canoe sprint paddler, kayaking coach, PE teacher, principal, lecturer and International ICF Official. She is one of the pioneers of Special Olympics movement in Poland. She holds degree in Physical Education from the University of Gdańsk, Poland and several postgraduate diplomas in sports training, education management, teaching people with disabilities, and therapy for children with autism. She also holds degree in English from the University of Gdańsk.
Her professional career, outside of teaching, includes implementing kayaking as a Special Olympics sport, event organization in various sports and levels. She has been a Special Olympics Kayaking Technical Delegate and official. She is also Special Olympics Europe Eurasia sport advisor and Special Olympics Poland board member. She has been officiating major international canoe sprint events ( Paralympics Games, World Championships, European Championships, Universiade).
