Paul’s first experience with Special Olympics came as a GMS volunteer 14 years ago, at a regional swimming event. After that event, Paul became passionate about SO and began training others to join the GMS team that he became responsible for at the National level within his country. In 2011, he was invited by SOI to join the International GMS team, and assisted other countries in their transition to use GMS within their programs. Paul has served as an SO Connect SME for the following events: 2017 World Winter Games in Austria, 2018 USA Games in Seattle, 2019 World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, and 2020 Winter Invitational in Sweden. He served as a GMS SME during the 2015 World Games in LA and has also been involved in many GMS seminars and trainings across Europe.
