I don’t say the R-Word in Special Olympics because it’s a bad word to say to other athletes and coaches or we me not be able to compete and I also don’t say the use word exactly personally because that is not who I am as a person because I am grateful and amazing girl. I think the R-Word it kind of is offensive and hurtful to say it can hurt our athletes and we shouldn’t be saying that word. It can tear their confidence down and I don’t want that to happen. We have to build their confidence up. I think the misunderstanding when people say that word. It’s not okay to say that word or they will kick out of Special Olympics and they will not allowed to come back. I would say instead of say the R-Word we should be saying something else. So we should not have hurt feelings around in Special Olympics because we care about our athletes. My simple action that everyone can take place to help me by sharing my story. I want everyone to know that I should be heard and standing up for myself.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The sky lights up every time in the morning with the sunlight shining but every time when it’s cold and raining I hear the demons saying the R-Word and we shouldn’t be saying it, it haunts us. We should unleash it and show us who we are as an athlete.
