Special Olympics Equestrian Subject of New Documentary

Special Olympics Texas Equestrian Faith Smyth is featured in the documentary Where the Horse Heal the Soul recently released on streaming platforms.

The film follows the lives of children, adults, and veterans whose journeys have been transformed through equine-assisted services at ROCK Ride On Center for Kids in Georgetown, Texas. In it, Faith and her family chronicle her physical and intellectual challenges since birth and how horseback riding has been a key component of her successes and development.

Directed by filmmaker Twila LaBar, Where the Horse Heal the Soul explores the remarkable bond between horses and humans through the stories of participants facing physical disabilities, PTSD, trauma, and other life challenges. At its heart, the documentary is about courage, persistence, freedom, purpose, and the belief that there is always more to a person's story.
