New PSA Features Athletes From Around the World

Special Olympics International is launching a new public service announcement, as part of “The Revolution Is Inclusion” campaign. The campaign calls for an end to discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and is a rallying cry to create a fully inclusive, more welcoming world for all. The new PSA “Challenge Expectations” encourages people to rethink what they believe about ability, as the misperception about people with intellectual disabilities is that they can’t do what others can. The PSA showcases photos and videos of Special Olympics athletes from around the world excelling in sports and life—defying expectations!

The PSA concept was created by the pro-bono efforts of TBWA\WorldHealth and features the voice of Special Olympics Florida athlete and Global Messenger, Tajha Ilerant. The 30-second and 60-second TV spots spotlight how Special Olympics athletes are changing minds and ending negative stereotypes.

Take the pledge at WeChallengeYou.org. Through the power of our athletes and our sports, Special Olympics is building a new world of health, unity and empowerment.
