TODAY Show Celebrates New Jersey Athlete’s Homecoming after COVID-19 Hospital Stay

After enduring 136 days in the Hospital due to COVID-19, Colby Douglas, a Special Olympics gold-medaling swimmer from New Jersey, was escorted home by a motorcade that included local police officers. He arrived to cheers and well wishes from his family, friends and neighbors.

TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie spoke to Colby and his parents about his fight to survive coronavirus and how they never lost hope.
