Every year, for the past nine years, a select group of talented Special Olympics athletes and basketball superstars past and present, form two teams, lace up and battle it out in the NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Basketball Game!

For the first time ever, six teams of two, including one Special Olympics athlete and one professional skier, competed in the first-ever Unified Skiing Competition at the X Games.

Exemplifying the spirit of the Delivering Jobs campaign, the launch on 22 October 2019 was a truly collaborative effort between Autism Speaks, Best Buddies, and Special Olympics in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF).

On 22 October, Autism Speaks, Best Buddies and Special Olympics, in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, announced the launch of Delivering Jobs, an inclusion campaign designed to create pathways to one million employment and leadership opportunities for people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other intellectual and developmental differences by 2025.
