Throughout the Special Olympics community, 2020 has been a year full of unprecedented events and obstacles, many of which have never been encountered. As many things have changed, one thing has stayed consistent: the number of outstanding coaches still substantially impacting their communities.

Moscow - Kazan, December 10, 2020: Representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Local Organizing Committee of Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022, and Coca-Cola Russia signed a partnership agreement through 2023.

It has been a busy and exciting end to the year for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Kazan 2022 team. In the past month alone, we have announced a team of exciting new Games Ambassadors, including ice hockey legend Alexander Ovechkin, welcomed Coca-Cola on board as an official partner of the Games and opened the applications for Games volunteers!

A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to interview a Special Olympics Japan employee about the pandemic, the differences between our cultures, and our experiences with Special Olympics. I loved the opportunity of doing this and wanted to do it again.
