United Airline’s Miles on a Mission Collects Miles for Special Olympics

During National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), long-time Special Olympics corporate partner United Airlines announced that Special Olympics will be highlighted as a recipient of the airlines’ Miles on a Mission program. The aim is to collect unused travel miles from loyalty program customers and donate them to Special Olympics needing to travel to participate in competitions. To further celebrate NDEAM, the two organizations teamed up to produce a series of social videos to celebrate their on-going partnership.

United became a Special Olympics global corporate partner in 2017. Along with sponsoring international events and encouraging over 85,000 employees to volunteer with their local Programs, United continually works with Special Olympics to provide training for implementing a Unified Leadership approach including employing Special Olympics athletes at several of their customer service desks in airports across the United States.
