The iconic winter sport venues of Östersund and Åre play host to 300 Special Olympics athletes who have come to Sweden to compete in the Special Olympics Invitational Games 2020.

For the first year ever, a Unified Ski competition will be part of the line-up of the Special Olympics Unified races at the 2020 X Games.

The first ever Special Olympics Pan African Games will take place in Cairo, 23-31 January, 2020 under the auspices of HE Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Egyptian President.
