Ishatou is a 15-year-old student at Methodist Special in Kanifing, Gambia. She has been involved in Special Olympics for 2 years as an athlete leader and Unified partner. Most recently, she participated in our Awareness Campaign as a Unified partner.
Ishatou is very happy to be on the Global Youth Leadership Council so she can learn from her peers from around the world. Within her role on the council, she looks forward to advocating for inclusion. Ishatou is a leader of the Unified Generation because she believes that support from society is necessary to achieve inclusion.
