Caring for Children, Helping Each Other Grow
Wenhui, a youth leader from Special Olympics China, designed and implemented the project: Caring For Children, Helping Each Other Grow, which empowered girls through accessible education. With topics like personal safety and sexual education, the initiative aimed to foster inclusion among university students and healthcare professionals. Through school and university partnerships, the project built a sustainable network of advocates committed to creating safer, more inclusive communities.

Youth leaders Tae Hyun and Moon Kyum hosted futsal practices and games to promote physical well-being, inclusion, and teamwork among youth with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through shared experiences, participants developed their futsal skills, built connections, and showed how sports can bring people together as one team.

Increasing Awareness and Improving the Confidence of Youth
Youth leaders Jia and Jaemin organized a self-confidence and self-care initiative for youth in their community. Over 24 sessions, participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) solved challenges, taught their peers, and participated in sports. The project created an inclusive environment where participants supported one another and had opportunities to build confidence and leadership skills.

Raising Awareness with Unified Leadership
Over 25 sessions, youth leaders Hee Jun and Jun Hyung from Special Olympics Korea brought together youth with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to develop leadership skills and build meaningful connections. Through Unified Leadership training and Unified Sports activities, participants strengthened their confidence, learned to lead alongside one another, and formed lasting friendships in an inclusive environment.

Dea and Rexhina organized local and national 3v3 Unified basketball events in Albania that brought together young people with and without intellectual disabilities to play, learn, and compete in an inclusive environment. Through basketball games and skill clinics, they promoted teamwork, sportsmanship, and community engagement.

Building a more unified society through Unified Sports, youth leaders Eunkyo and Yeon Woo brought together university students, athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and community members through volleyball, creating opportunities to connect, compete, and foster inclusion.

Youth leader Yuhang and Jiarui’s project promoted friendship, teamwork, and understanding through inclusive sports activities. With track and field competitions, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach, their project strengthened a culture of inclusion in not only their initial regional focus, the Wang Cheng District of Changsha, but also in neighboring regions.

Jacob's 'Inclusive Leadership Project' equipped youth leaders across South Africa with project management, advocacy, and leadership skills, empowering them to design and lead initiatives within their own communities. As a result, youth leaders successfully organized provincial Youth Day events, expanded Unified Sports opportunities, raised awareness, and created more inclusive opportunities for youth with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Starlight Inclusive Dance Club
Starlight Inclusive Dance Club created meaningful opportunities for inclusion by bringing together students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through a shared passion for dance. Youth leaders Zihan and Bofan coordinated regular dance classes and a final dance performance, where audience members saw the beauty of inclusive movement and donated to charities that support individuals with IDD.
