Ainsworth Irish is a Retired Police Officer that joined Special Olympics in 1995 as a volunteer. At the time Special Olympics Dominica was preparing to attend the World Games in Connecticut. As the Chairman of the Police Sports Club the then Police Commissioner assigned me to the Law Enforcement Torch Run to raise funds for the delegation. Several years thereafter I became the Chairman of Special Olympics and Coordinator of Law Enforcement Torch Run till I relinquish that post as I was appointed National Director Special Olympics, Dominica in 2011. I led the Dominica delegation to their World Games as National Director for the World Games Las Angeles 2015, World Games Abu Dhabi 2019, and World Games Berlin Germany 2023. I continue to work tirelessly towards the enforcement of Special Olympics Dominica both regionally and in the international circuit.
