Ivor Blake is an individual who has dedicated his life to serving others. As the National Director for Special Olympics St Kitts and Nevis, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Mr. Blake has been in this position since 2014 and has had a significant impact on the organization, making it one of the most active Programs in the Caribbean.
Prior to joining Special Olympics, Mr. Blake served as a Superintendent of Police in the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force for over 29 years. He is a former security advisor in the Ministry of National Security of the Government of St Kitts and Nevis and is also a disaster management specialist. In 2012, he established Summit Consulting, a local consultancy firm, which has been working with government agencies, non-profits, and private sector organizations in St Kitts and Nevis, and the wider Caribbean.
An avid sports enthusiast, Mr. Blake has always been passionate about sports and the role it can play in building character and promoting wellness. He been to three Special Olympics world games including the 2015, 2019, and 2023 games. Mr. Blake is a proud father of two sons and a teenage daughter who he loves spending time with.
In his capacity of National Director for Special Olympics St Kitts and Nevis, through his tireless efforts, Mr. Blake has made a significant contribution to the development of individuals with intellectual disabilities in St Kitts and Nevis, providing opportunities for them to excel and showcasing their talents on the world stage. He embodies the spirit of service and is a true champion for Special Olympics St Kitts and Nevis.
