Kristina from Slovakia began her journey with Special Olympics two years ago as a volunteer through the Duke of Edinburgh programme. A national judo representative, she brought with her a strong commitment to sport, leadership, and inclusion, and quickly became involved as a coach, dedicated volunteer, and Youth Leader. Her work spans national and international levels, including serving on the organizing committee for the Special Olympics European Triathlon. Through these experiences, Kristina has developed key leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. She values every opportunity to grow and give back, using her voice to create positive change. As a member of the Global Youth Leadership Council, she hopes to share her empathy and knowledge while learning from others to help build a more inclusive future.
