The Mirror Image Project is a social media campaign by Special Olympics that celebrates the talent, achievements and inspiring qualities of athletes. The project invites Special Olympics athletes to recreate famous photos of Special Olympics Global Ambassadors or celebrity supporters. Through these powerful visual recreations, the campaign highlights the shared greatness between Special Olympics athletes and iconic public figures. It's a powerful opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Special Olympics athletes and inspire others to walk the path of greatness taken by legends before them.

The Mirror Image Project: WWE

WWE is a longtime supporter of Special Olympics and Unified Sports®, which brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team. WWE Superstars have joined athletes around the world, building friendships through teamwork and inclusion.

From the 1995 Special Olympics World Games to recent Games partnerships in Seattle, Abu Dhabi, Orlando, Berlin and beyond, WWE continues to champion the spirit of Special Olympics. Through the Mirror Image Project, athletes now get to step into the spotlight as WWE Superstars—celebrating strength, unity and greatness.

Alex Davis is a dedicated Special Olympics Arkansas athlete, leader, coach, Health Messenger, Fitness Captain and member of his local Athlete Input Council. He also represented his community at the 2025 Special Olympics Capitol Hill Day, advocating for people with intellectual disabilities in Washington, D.C. In recognition of his commitment to fitness, courage, joy and inclusion, Alex was honored with the 2025 Special Olympics Arkansas Athlete Excellence Award.

Meet Annu Singleton, a proud Special Olympics athlete from Baltimore with 26 years of experience and a passion for inspiring others. He has competed in 18 sports, including track, speed skating, swimming and equestrian. Annu is a certified Athlete Leader, Global and Health Messenger, Vice Chair of the Special Olympics Maryland Athlete Leadership Council and a Law enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Maryland Ambassador. He’s also a dancer, gamer, comedian, impressionist and CrossFit fan who leads by example and values friendship.

Daniel Fundora

Daniel Fundora is a personal trainer in Florida who helps people with disabilities reach their health and fitness goals. As a Health Messenger, he coaches Special Olympics Florida athletes and teaches the Fit 5 program, focusing on fitness, nutrition and hydration.

His key advice: “Stay consistent with a healthy lifestyle—it’s more than fitness and nutrition; it includes sleep and emotions too.”

WWE Superstar Bianca Belair and Special Olympics Kansas Athlete Rebecca Shepherd
Rebecca Shepherd is a dedicated Special Olympics Kansas athlete and serves as Vice President of Special Olympics Kansas' Health Messengers and a key member of the Athlete Leadership Council. She's always eager to support her coaches and teammates. Her interests include competing in Special Olympics sports, volunteering, making rubber band bracelets and singing country music. Rebecca’s confidence and outgoing personality shine in everything she does.

Lynn Hodgson

Meet Lynn Hodgson, a Special Olympics Missouri athlete and leader passionate about inclusion, photography and her dog, Walt Disney! Since 2010, she’s competed in five sports and attended two Special Olympics USA Games — once as a track athlete and once as a PR assistant. Lynn is an Athlete Leader, a student majoring in communications & technology, a proud Special Olympics Polar Plunge® Ambassador and a dedicated community supporter.

Abbie Dowell has been a Special Olympics Missouri athlete since 2011, competing in basketball, swimming, bowling and bocce with energy and determination. Last year, she walked the runway at the inaugural Show Me MO Fashion Show to raise funds for Special Olympics Missouri. Abbie also volunteers with the Kansas City Chiefs’ recycling initiative while staying active, building friendships and inspiring others through her commitment to sports and community.

WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and Special Olympics New York Athlete Rory Cavalier
Rory Cavalier, from Pitsford, New York, competes in track, Unified basketball, bowling, bocce and Challenger baseball. He’s a big WWE fan—Jey Uso is his favorite—and also loves cooking BBQ and seafood. Rory cheers for quarterback Josh Allen and his team, the Buffalo Bills.

Novie Craven

WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and Special Olympics D.C. Athlete Novie Craven
Novie Craven is a Special Olympics D.C. athlete and the communications coordinator for Special Olympics. She joined Special Olympics in 2012 and has competed in athletics, basketball, bocce, bowling, flag football, golf and tennis. In 2018, she won gold in bocce at the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle. Since 2019, Novie has worked at Special Olympics’ headquarters, supporting marketing and communications and hosting the Inclusion Revolution Radio podcast.
